Charity Bazaar
We are proud to announce that FM Group Indonesia supported 47th Charity Bazaar held in Jakarta in November 19th-20th, 2014. The Baazar was organized by Women International Club (WIC) – one of the most powerful women organizations in Indonesia.
FM Group Indonesia supported this event for the first time. Upon the invitation of the Mrs. Agata Szumowska – wife of His Excellence Mr. Tadeusz Szumowski – Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta, we provided our Federico Mahora fragrances to be sold during the event at the stand of the Embassy of Poland.
FM fragrances were sold together with other traditional Polish products such as amber jewelry and hand craft and foods.
Only the sales of Federico Mahora fragrances reached almost 1,500 USD. Sixty percent of money collected during the event was handed over to Women International Club and distributed among NGOs registered with the organization. Remaining 40% was handed over directly to AWRA Foundation in Jakarta which helps adults and children from poor families get access to health care in Indonesia.
Charity bazaar is an annual event organized in different cities around the World with the participation of the foreign Embassies located in the host country and many other local organisations and vendors.
The event is often visited by ambassadors and government representatives, with the aim to collect money to support projects the field of education, health and welfare.
The Polish stand was visited, among the others by the wife of the President Joko Widodo - Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture - Mrs. Puan Maharani Megawati and the wife of the President of the European Council Herman van Rompuy - Mrs. Geertrui Windels.
It was a great experience to be part of the Poland’s representation at the Bazaar and be able to make a contribution to support to Indonesian communities who are in need.
