Health Center in Ngoma Opened

The Golden Tulip Foundation founded by Katarzyna and Artur Trawiński, FM GROUP brand owners, has just completed another major project – a health center in Ngoma, a Mozambican village in Cabo Delgado province. The construction works took 4 months. At the beginning of this year, despite many obstacles resulting from heavy rain, which hit the central and northern Mozambique in January, the center has been equipped with the necessary equipment and on March 4 2015 ceremonial inauguration of its activities has been held.

In the future, the newly constructed building will serve as a maternity ward and by the time the construction of the other planned buildings is completed by the local authorities will also be a health center point available to all residents of Ngoma and the surrounding area.

Vaccines, serum, disinfectants, medicines for AIDS, malaria and other tropical diseases as well as basic medicines  will be provided and, as far as possible, replenished on a regular basis by the Ministry of Health in Mozambique. The center will be served by two health care workers – a medical technician and a midwife. Severe cases will be directed to the Provincial Hospital in Pembie where professional physicians work.
